Offering plateYou need to start planning now to make budget in 2015.  Why do you need a giving plan?  Without a plan and someone holding you accountable to the plan you will probably not be fully funded in 2015!

I helped multiple churches in 2014 see an increase in giving!  The key to this success is that we devised a plan of action for them and we worked the plan.  Not only that but I regularly kept checking in with them gently prodding them to keep working the plan.

Below are email quotes from church leaders AFTER I had sent them a reminder email about a last minute send on New Year’s Eve.  All of the three had already been following my advice for end of year appeals.  He is what they wrote me in response to my email reminder to them…

Mark, Going into tonight’s service, we had raised over $15,500 for the maternity center. Thanks for all your help.

Hey Mark…$19K so far and counting…pretty much another week’s offering…Thank you for all your help!

Mark, my secretary has scheduled an email send from me ready to go at  2 pm tomorrow for an appeal. We prepared it before Christmas.   $12K was brought in on December 31st!

You might be saying, “That’s great for all those big churches but I could never afford to get that kind of help.”  Wrong!!!!!  One of my goals for our company in 2014 is to make our stewardship coaching…

Affordable, Easy and Effective.

Hurdles churches erect keeping them from the help they need…

The two biggest hurdles I have when it comes to getting churches to commit to our services are cost and the feelings they can do it their selves.

Why do churches attempt to do their own giving campaigns?  To save money!  What if we made getting help affordable?

Why do pastors hate to run their own giving campaigns?  It’s complex and hard!  What if we made it simple and easy doing basically all the work for you?

What is the biggest danger of do it yourself giving campaigns?  No one really owns it thus nothing truly gets done which results in the church not raising much money!  What if we could help them become more effective?

The main reason most churches fail even when they have a plan is no one holds them accountable!  The Tyranny of the Urgent swamps pastors and church leaders.  With all that they have to do already stewardship planning gets pushed all too often to the back burner.
