Are you ready for some football? What about are you ready for the offering?

Would you like to know how to ensure your team wins on Super Bowl Sunday?  I can help you do exactly that!  But I am not talking about the Pats or the Eagles.  I am talking about your church, the team that is “playing” for eternal matters not a trophy that will tarnish.  Let me show you how.

How many stars do you get each weekend?  When I was a pastor I broke down the Sunday’s by what I came to know as a star system.  Was attendance good?  That was a star.  Did someone respond at the altar?  Another star.  Was the offering good?  One more star!  You might think that was a flesh trip and you might be right.  However, in my mind it was one way to evaluate the day.

My life goal is to reverse the decline in giving one church at a time.  So, I am passionate about the offering.  I want your offerings to be Gold Star ones.  Why?  Because I believe in the local church.  I believe that its missions and ministries MUST be fully funded.  So, I get up every morning, its 4:56 AM as I write this, thinking about how to help you see a full offering plate.

So, what has this to do with the Super Bowl?  If your church was like mine Super Bowl Sunday morning IF the weather was good was a high attendance day.  Here is why I think that is so.  The Super Bowl is something people don’t typically want to miss.  So, few will plan trips on that weekend.  Also, the game doesn’t start until the evening.  As a result at least your faithful attendees will be in attendance.  That means you will have more pockets from which to draw more money to do more ministry!

Here is the thing.  You can’t just wait for money to fall from heaven.  You need a plan of action and I have one for you…
