It is almost beach time!
The number one reason you will not make budget this summer is your lack of a plan. My mantra to churches for over a decade has been, get a plan and work your plan. As I have said countless times churches have plans for everything except a plan to fund everything! Are you different than the average church? Right now could you list out four things you are going to do this summer to increase giving? If you said no to that then please keep reading.
I know you just finished Easter and are exhausted from that. However if you are not now planning for how to increase giving this summer your programs might be in danger. As we have finished out another first quarter with severe inclement weather many churches are already behind. Can you really chance going into the summer months without some plan to reverse your yearly summer shortfalls? Are you simply hoping that things will get better? Hope is not a strategy and it leads to hopelessness!
Let’s make this summer the Summer of Hope for your church! That was actually a theme for one of my client churches a few years ago.
