Who can you call for offering talk help?

Who can you call for offering talk help?

“Can you give me a call at your convenience,” was the question a member of Giving365 texted me recently.  He stated, “I have a short question for you that I would rather ask by phone about an upcoming offering talk.  I need less than five minutes of your time.”  I had actually taken a break from writing and was on a walk.  I immediately texted him my phone number and we talked for perhaps no more than five minutes.  What makes this so remarkable?

First, it is the fact that several days before Sunday this pastor was thinking and planning out his talk before the offering.  In my experience, first as a pastor for 20 years and now leading pastors for nearly 20 years, few if any plan out what they are going to say before the offering.  This pastor knows the importance of making the link of how a dollar given to his church impacts people for Christ.  He was working on communicating a compelling story as a tool to increase giving and givers.

How did he know of the importance of a compelling offering talk before the offering?  He has been following me for nearly three years.  The first year of following me his giving went up 32% followed by a 14% increase the next year.  So, he and his staff have seen the value in making the time leading up to the offering valuable.

The next significant thing about the call was that he had a giving coach he could turn to that actually talked to him!  There are some good programs out there but none where you can pick up your phone and text the president or anyone for specific help.  The other firms are too big and too busy making money to give personalized help.  Am I being critical?  Yes!  Churches and pastors deserve better.

I serve a limited number of churches so that I am always available to answer their questions.  Does your plan do that for you?  Do you have a plan?

I personally answer all my member’s questions either by email or phone and edit and review all the giving data they send me.  Does your plan do that for you?

The other incredible thing is that this kind of help costs only $1 a day.  There is no better service out there and none that matches my price point.  So, let me ask you, do you have a coach you can reach out to for questions?  If not let me be your giving coach!
