There are 4 kinds of church leaders I can’t help.  I get asked a lot, “Can you help my church?”  My answer is, “It depends.”  There are some churches I can’t help and it has nothing to do with the church but its leadership.  In my nearly twenty years of helping churches I have sat at Joel Osteen’s dining room table talking giving strategies and sat with pastors running less than one hundred.  The size, denomination, lack of denomination, color, age demographic you name it I can help them.  Unless their leaders are the four kinds I can’t help.

Here are the four kinds of church leaders I can’t help.

I can’t help those who don’t know they need help.  Of course that statement sounds obvious.  Yet most church leaders are so disconnected from how giving is going and what their giving trends and patterns are.  They are blindly unaware of the coming crisis in giving they face.  Many trust some committee or simply are too busy to keep their focus on giving.  For whatever reason they don’t think they need help.  When things finally get bad THEN they realize they need to do something.  Tragically at that point it is often too late.  I can help you but you have to recognize you need help.

I can’t help those that won’t let me help them.  Whether it is pride, distrust, or an unwillingness to pay for help some simply won’t let you help them.  Often they know they need to do something yet to get help from someone other than themselves proves difficult.  I can help you IF you will let me.

I can’t help those who think they know it all.  This kind of leader is impossible for anyone to truly help.  When it comes to giving and giving trends few know as much as we do.  That is not bragging it is a simple fact.  Pastors for instance spend hours every week preparing a sermon.  I spend hours every week researching and analyzing church giving patterns.  My knowledge blended with your unique skills makes you a better leader.  I don’t know it all but I know a lot.  I am continuing to learn.  When it comes to giving few know more than I do especially church leaders.  I can help you unless you are a know it all.

I can’t help those who won’t do the work.  My plans are devised to save you time.  I write in areas that most church leaders have no training for or frankly any interest in.  Yet my plans can’t simply be plugged in and giving magically increases.  You have to WORK to make it happen.  I work best with those that WORK.  So, I can help you IF you put in the work.

What kind of leader are you?  Frankly if you were one of the above you would have probably bailed out by now.  Yet if you are looking for that missing piece of the puzzle to improve your giving look no further.  I can help you increase giving and givers!

If you WORK my plans and giving does not increase I will refund you 100% of your money!  So, what have you got to lose?  The sooner you get started the closer you will be to being fully funded.
