There is still time to plan out your Easter offering!

In all your haste this week don’t forget to plan out your Easter Offering!  You will have your largest crowd of the year.  You are planning out every detail but have you planned out the offering time?  With a bit of planning you could have your largest offering of the year.  Even though it is the last minute you can still act NOW and see amazing results.

Here is the nutshell of my last minute Easter offering plan of action…

  1. Plan it out. What you put time into with planning has a better chance of success.  Take these next few days and think through the elements of your “ask.”  Three key elements you need to be thinking and praying through…

Think – I want attendees to think about…

Feel – I want attendees to feel…

Do – You want attendees to willingly GIVE!

Always connect the dots! How does a dollar given here help change?

  1. Shout it out! Use all platforms to trumpet the call.  Don’t just wait for Easter Sunday to start getting people thinking about the offering.  At that point you only have about sixty seconds to get their attention.  Using all your various platforms in the days before Easter helps cement the vision deeper into the minds and hearts of your donors.
  2. Prime the Pump. Get leaders on board early.  You might consider a letter or email blast to all your leaders about the plans for the Easter offering.
  3. Act it out. Boldly ask!  Remember, you are not asking for yourself.  You are asking to fuel your missions and ministries that are changing the world.  The Red Cross never apologizes when they ask people to give so neither should we.  Believe in your vision and it will be easier to make the “ask” with boldness.

Does this work?  Below is a testimony from a member…

Mark,

We used the Stewardship Coach’s plan for our Easter offering.  Using this plan we were able to identify our target audience and make our need known.  The weekly tasks helped us organize what needed to be done to have a successful campaign.

This Easter thanks to our use of the Stewardship Coach’s plan our offering was $17K above our normal Easter offering.  This was a great blessing to our church.  We had struggled through a very cold, snowy winter that had left us behind on our budget.  This increased offering helped us overcome our budget shortfall and head into summer on target.

Thank you Stewardship Coach for making this resource available!  Stephanie Dalton, Executive Pastor, Bethel Harvest Church

So, while there is still time let’s get to work on your Easter giving plan and send me your testimonial of success so I can add that to Stephanie’s!  Let’s get started!
